Untitled Poem
Anne Dykers

from Here Light Opens (her chapbook)

yes  the unlit root
of winter's earth
embarked  we  are
walking  like bare trees
tongue under stood
and steadying  yes
the unlit  death  I welcome
every  year  I walk
I access  bone  still there
still here
I walk  I root I  tongue
home
